Yup, it's over.
I bet you're wondering why. Well, of course you aren't, because you aren't reading this. SI wasn't around long enough to have attracted any fans. Maybe two people contacted me about the comic that hadn't contacted first. Not that that's why I quit. Plenty of incredible comics go with little to no fame, and I'd be more than happy to include myself in their number. The problem is that I'm not doing my best work as a sprite guy.
Sprite Comics suck, dammit!
Sure, some Sprite Comics can be great, but a huge, fucking VAST, majority of them are Bob and George ripoffs written by people with no fucking sense of humor. "I can download sprite sheets, and use MSPaint! I'm a comic jenius, I yam!" Essentially, that was the thought process that got me into this mess.
And tell ya what, some of my comics are funny. I'll admit that. I liked a few of 'em. But sprites stifle creativity. Try doing a comic with this kind of personality with sprites. Not gonna happen.
And you know what? Whoever told you that you need to be able to draw to do a gag comic is wrong. Dead wrong. Look at God Damn It!, or Turing's Folly, or 1/0, or even fucking Dilbert, for chrissakes! Anyone in the entire world can draw at least as well as this guy, and his comic is outstanding!
Then only trick is being funny. I think I can do that...

Eh? Not bad? It's digitally done, and while I'd like to use scanned art, it's no neccesity. I've been working on the concept of this comic, "No More Movies for Robert", for quite some time now, and as soon as Keenspace starts taking new accounts again, I'm in. NMMFR will be mainly one strip gags, usually one cell, too. The humor style will be similar to "Now Less Filling", I guess. I drew a sample strip and made a friend crack up for about five minutes. Good omen.
So, I implore all the people out there doing crappy, derivative sprite comics. Stop. Use stick figures, if you have to. Just do your best, and sprites aren't it.
